As we continue our #WeAreHere campaign for #BHM2025, today we would like to spotlight vsuwomenslax Head Coach Ashley Lawrence‼️ Coach Lawrence made history in the Fall of 2022 as the first Head Coach of Virginia State University’s women’s lacrosse team, and has been leading them to a historic mile-markers ever since. While simultaneously developing a culture and standard for a new program, Lawrence has also organized impactful HBCU Play Days to increase the visibility of HBCU lacrosse programs and push towards more inclusivity in the game of women’s lacrosse!
