🎭 Clad in full drag and with Pride flags in tow, a ‘hands off our drag’ march across downtown Washington, D.C., culminated at the iconic Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, where protesters sent a clear message to its now chairman and U.S. President Donald Trump: “You can’t erase drag — we’ll come right back.”      Protesters, some of whom have performed at the Kennedy Center in the past, asserted that drag is a form of art, and that supporters of drag are supporters of the arts.   The protest, co-organized by several D.C. local collectives, came just after Trump took over the Center, with his board appointees naming him chair and then firing its president, Deborah Rutter. 🔗 Tap the link to find out which former U.S. ambassador now serves as the Center’s interim president.
