šŸ”„ Saturday recap: Magnitude and Good Cheer headline Fair Grounds Race Course. Magnitude romped in the Risen Star Stakes (G2), earning his way into the Run for the Roses. The 3-year-old son of Not This Time paid $88.40 to win for trainer Steve Asmussen and jockey Ben Curtis. The Risen Star was the first race this winter to offer 105 Kentucky Derby qualifying points. Good Cheer continued her undefeated record with a victory in the Rachel Alexandra Stakes (G2). The Godolphin homebred is now on the top of the Kentucky Oaks leaderboard with 45 points. "We're very proud of her effort to come back like this as a 3-year-old," trainer Brad Cox said. "Her record speaks for itself. She always shows up and runs a top effort. Today was no different.ā€ šŸ“ø: Amanda Hodges Weir / Hodges Photography, Lou Hodges Jr. / Hodges Photography #fairgrounds #louisana #risenstar #rachelalexandra #runfortheroses #kentuckyderby #kentuckyoaks
