This weekend, The University of Texas at Austin and utunions will celebrate the third and final week of the cactuscafeatx 45th anniversary series. This special run of shows, presented in partnership with armadilloworldheadquarters, features legendary performers from the club’s storied history, features popular Austin acts that will make their Cactus debuts with rare intimate shows, and introduces talented student performers. This week’s shows kick off Thursday night with a sold-out Cactus debut from Sir Woman (sirwomanmusic). On Friday, UT’s own West 22nd (west22ndband) will play a special FREE first-come, first-serve show. Last year, they made history at aclfestival as the first all-student UT band to play an official festival show. Lines for their Friday show will begin at 6 PM and doors open at 6:30 PM.
