According to the International Labor Organization, almost one-third of the $150 billion annual profit worldwide, nearly one-third (U.S. $47 billion), is generated entirely from trafficking in developed nations, namely those in the European Union and the United States. The Human Trafficking Institute reports that only 13% of U.S. active criminal human trafficking cases in 2020 were foreign nationals, meaning the majority were U.S. citizens. Trafficking impacts vulnerable populations everywhere. It is critical that we accept that human trafficking is happening daily in our cities so that we can best support victims and survivors. Dressember supports well-vetted preventative, intervention, and aftercare services for victims and survivors of human trafficking abroad and across North America. Join the movement to end human trafficking when you donate at the link in our bio today. #Dressember #Dressember2022 #humantrafficking
