A proud graduate of Howard University’s School of Communications, Kahlana’s journey exemplifies the transformative power of a Howard education. Beginning her career as an intern at InStyle, Kahlana ascended to the role of Beauty Director, influencing beauty standards and championing diversity. Transitioning into entrepreneurship, she collaborated with major brands, including a 120-piece collection with Target’s Future Collective line. Recently, she partnered with Nike to design an Air Force 1 sneaker honoring Howard University, reflecting her deep connection to her alma mater.
