If you’re looking to the stars for a little respite from the doom and gloom, you might be looking in the wrong place. Chances are increasing that a large asteroid, dubbed YR4, will strike Earth in 2032, possibly resulting in large-scale destruction wherever it lands. On Tuesday, astronomers with NASA’s Center for Near-Earth Object Studies upgraded the odds of a YR4 strike to 3.1%, the highest risk level ever recorded.
