A 1960 Mercedes-Benz 190 SL Roadster is set to cross the block at Goodwood, offering collectors a beautifully restored example of this iconic model. Delivered new in Europe, this left-hand drive convertible underwent a comprehensive restoration between 2014 and 2016. Sparingly used as part of a private collection, the car has been meticulously maintained, with servicing carried out by marque specialists.
The copy data card on file confirms that this 190 SL was delivered on September 15, 1960, originally finished in an all-black livery with a Becker Europa radio and Hirschmann antenna. Purchased in 2014 from VD Classic Cars in Belgium for €48,450, the car underwent restoration before being acquired by the current owner in 2016. Now, due to a move abroad, it is being offered for sale in excellent condition, complete with a hardtop and an extensive file of documentation, including past MoTs, Netherlands registration papers, a UK V5C Registration Certificate, and a 190 SL owner’s manual.
