🔥RIP🔥 Repost from oliver7garden • The man, the myth, the legend, “Mango” was a houseless man who lived across from losangelesfiredepartment Fire Station 9 in Skid Row. Mango was from Florida where he used to own an auto detailing service. He said he came to Skid Row in 2016 to be of service and continued his work ethic volunteering with the LAFD. Mango an unofficial Fire Traffic Officer could be seen on scene helping his community and fellow firefighters over the years. Volunteering his time helping direct traffic, clearing storm drains and even helping extinguish fires and mopping up. Mango took pride in his fire station and the firefighters at station 9 took him in as one of their own. They even built him a motorized bicycle to help him get on scene faster. Mango wanted to make a difference and be apart of the best fire station in the nation! As the saying goes “heroes get remembered, but legends never die.” The LAFD has lost a legend! Some even called him a superhero... Last Alarm...
