In 1871, we introduced our first true handmade paper machine, which enabled us to produce paper with exceptional texture and durability while preserving the craftsmanship of handmade paper. ​ ​Amazingly, a machine part from 1871 is still in operation today, a symbol of both our heritage and the lasting quality of our production techniques.
