“Blessed is the man who remains steadfast under trial, for when he has stood the test he will receive the crown of life, which God has promised to those who love him.” -James 1:12 It’s easy to say that trials are purposeful and will bear fruit in hindsight or outside of the trial. It’s another thing to remain steadfast in the midst of them; to know that God is faithful in his promises even when you struggle to see it. Life is never easy, for anyone, there is always something hard to get through. But will you let it bog you down? Will you be consumed by the pain and inequity? Or will you remain steadfast in the LORD? This can still look like crying, cry out to God! He wants to hear you speak with him, he wants to know what you are going through. This isn’t a blessing for those who strongarm their way through, but to those who rely on the LORD, who are steadfast in their faith.
