This #BlackHistoryMonth, we are honoring the legacies of Fannie Lou Hamer and Ida B. Wells—two fearless women who refused to be silenced in the fight for justice. Ida B. Wells used investigative journalism to expose the horrors of lynching, challenging the nation to confront racial violence. Fannie Lou Hamer used community organizing, voter registration drives, and the courts to fight for voting rights, political representation and economic justice for Black Americans, especially Black women.
