This past week, The Corcoran and the National Gallery of Art hosted the town hall event “Where Do We Go From Here?” The event, set against a backdrop of reimagined patriotic symbols like Norman Rockwell “Four Freedoms” and Hank Willis Thomas’ "Falling Stars series," provided the perfect setting for performances from Samantha Williams' multidisciplinary opera American Patriots, along with thought-provoking discussions on how patriotism can be redefined, subverted, and rebranded through art.
