God’s love comforts us because God sees us for who we are. We do not need to try hard to earn God’s love. Even when we struggle, God still loves us. He already loves us all unconditionally. We can have confidence and say “I know God loves me so!” "The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; his mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness."
