Head coach Hubert Davis and the UNC men’s basketball program have agreed to a two-year contract extension which will keep Davis in Chapel Hill through 2030. The two parties initially agreed to the extension in the summer of 2024 and signed the deal in December. Under the terms of the new deal, Davis’ base salary will be $1.25 million. His supplemental income will steadily increase over the life of the contract, rising $100,000 each year – starting at $1.7 million this season and ending at $2.2 million in the contract’s final year. These figures do not include performance benefits, such as a potential $250,000 payout should UNC win a national championship. This is the second contract extension Davis has signed since becoming head coach before the 2021-22 season.
