@asu_alumni and @asufidm faculty member Jennifer Boonlorn saw what was happening in Los Angeles during the wildfires and decided to do what she could to help. When Boonlorn was a senior at @wpcareyschool, she lost both her parents in a terrible car accident. This life-changing tragedy motivated her to pursue her passions and eventually became the inspiration for the name of her business: Soul Carrier. After years working in New York, Boonlorn came back to Phoenix and started teaching ASU FIDM and W. P. Carey students about fashion and business merchandising. Fast-forward to now, her most recent project, the Heart Home T-shirt series, features a custom design: a heart with the word "home" written beside it. All proceeds benefit people impacted by the LA wildfires. While development of a line usually takes months, Boonlorn quickly found other Phoenicians looking to help and was able to create the shirts in a matter of weeks.
