“There were times in university when the papers, exams and hospital learning felt overwhelming and I worried I wouldn’t be able to do it all. Nursing is a demanding profession - physically, emotionally and intellectually - but it is a privilege to be there for patients on their best and worst days. I undoubtedly have changed and grown as a person through the course of my degree. I have also been lucky enough to become friends with some AMAZING people in the ambassador program who I would not have met otherwise. Being part of this community has been one of the most rewarding parts of my time at the U of A.” Herbert is a fourth-year Nursing student and a U of A Ambassador.
