Disney and the BBC announced that Doctor Who season two premieres April 12 (3:00 a.m. EDT (really?!?)) on Disney+, where available, and on BBC in the UK. The eight-part season will release new episodes weekly. . Alan Cumming ("The Traitors") guest stars as Mr. Ring-a-Ding, a cheerful cartoon character who realizes there’s a world beyond the screen, leading to terrifying consequences. Cumming, who played King James I in Doctor Who (2018), returns to the Whoniverse for this thrilling role. . Showrunner Russell T Davies praised Cumming for bringing wit, malice, and danger to the role. This season follows the Doctor, Belinda Chandra, and Ruby Sunday as they battle formidable enemies.
