Tuscaloosa Police and Violent Crimes Unit are investigating a shooting that happened on Saturday, Feb. 8. A 23-year-old male is dead after being shot during a private event at the McDonald Hughes Community Center. The Tuscaloosa Violent Crimes Unit located the shooter and multiple witnesses at the scene of the crime. Investigators have indicated that self-defense concerns are relevant in this case.
