Nearing the end of district play, the boys varsity soccer team played the Crockett Cougars for the second time last Wednesday. They won the sequel, 4-0. This game was particularly special for the team, as it was senior night. Every senior was recognized by friends and family before the game, and the seniors got the chance to start the game, excluding one who could not start because he was given a red card the previous game. Senior outside back Manu Perez, who has been a part of the program for his entire high school career, said this game was special to him and all of his senior teammates as they were celebrated by the entire team. “Being honored on senior night was a very good feeling,” Perez said. “The recognition itself was cool, but doing it with my family and seeing my friends there made it much more special.” The first time the Knights played Crockett in district play, they won 3-0, and this past game, they added an extra goal for a 4-0 win.
