The Rockets recognized retired US Navy service member Ronald Castro as February’s Game Changer of the Month presented by TexasLottery. Ronald served in the US Navy from 2000-2003 as a Hospital Corpsman and is now involved in every major project concerning military veterans in Houston. Ronald also serves as a History teacher at Cypress Lakes High School, Eastwood Academy, and YesPrep White Oak. Ronald was recognized by the VFW as Texas Teacher of the Year in 2020 – one of his 5 recognitions of that title. Throughout the Houston community, Ronald volunteers for monthly education or veteran events, specifically Operation Turkey in November and scholarship opportunities with Houston VFW.
