🌍 𝐁𝐮𝐢𝐥𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐆𝐥𝐨𝐛𝐚𝐥 𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐜𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐬💡 IB diploma students, Ryan Baxley and Kylin Reynolds, represented the @nbpscqi 𝐎𝐩𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐞𝐬 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐀𝐥𝐥 𝐒𝐨𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝐈𝐦𝐩𝐚𝐜𝐭 𝐉𝐚𝐦𝐚𝐢𝐜𝐚 team at the 𝐄𝐚𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐧 𝐄𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐜𝐡 𝐀𝐬𝐬𝐨𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐟𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞 in Hilton Head, South Carolina and presented their transformative service-learning experience, where they partnered with university professor, Dr. Traci Baxley, to engage in culturally sustaining research in Jamaica 🇯🇲 𝐊𝐞𝐲 𝐡𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐥𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭𝐬: 🔹 𝗖𝘂𝗹𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗮𝗹𝗹𝘆 𝗦𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗣𝗲𝗱𝗮𝗴𝗼𝗴𝘆: Honoring cultural identities through research. 🔹 𝗥𝗲𝗰𝗶𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗰𝗶𝘁𝘆: Fostering mutual learning and exchange between our NBPS students and the Jamaican community. 🔹 𝗥𝗲𝗳𝗹𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗣𝗿𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗲: Adapting research methods in real-time, guided by reflection. 🔹 𝗔𝘀𝘀𝗲𝘁-𝗕𝗮𝘀𝗲𝗱 𝗣𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗽𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲: Celebrating the strengths, resilie...
