The Daily Californian is once again participating in Big Give, the annual 24 hour fundraising effort hosted by UC Berkeley! Mark your calendars for March 13, 2025. As one of the few campus newspapers in the country that is completely independent from the college campus it covers, donations are extremely vital in allowing the Daily Cal to continue producing local coverage. The publication is also run entirely by current or recently-graduated UC Berkeley students. Last year, thanks to our many donors, we raised almost $10,000 for the Daily Cal’s Endowment fund! Proceeds from the endowment help to pay for our daily operational expenses, such as printing and distribution costs, website fees, travel costs, student stipends and so much more.
