"If I can gather so many people to do artistic projects, what else can we do when we get together?" Brazilian artist and choreographer Clarice Lima @claricelimao imagined the idea of an upside-down human body becoming a tree. Today, Lima, alongside fellow artists @info.catsaraiva, @finajdiga, and @alinebonamin, bring WOODS across the globe, bringing a new forest of upside-down bodies to each city it's performed in 🌲 🌎 In May 2023, we welcomed WOODS to The Bentway, for their inaugural showcase in North America, where 40 local Torontonians took part in this powerful performance. Presenting an alive landscape, this performance is a call for environmental awareness and reminder of nature's struggle amidst human impact and development. Learn more about this piece through the link in our bio!
