Here are our tips on where to invest and where to save to get the most out of your budget: - Keep the plumbing where it is. Moving water lines drives up costs fast. Instead, try to keep a similar layout and upgrade your plumbing to quality fixtures in classic chrome or polished nickel for a clean, timeless look. - Skip custom cabinets – Opt for a well-made prefabricated/stocked vanity with soft-close drawers, then upgrade the hardware and countertop (you can look for quartz remnants with fabricators, or use leftover stone from another area in the house) to elevate it. - Use affordable tile in a custom layout. Basic materials can look more high-end when installed in a stacked, herringbone, or offset pattern.
