Riverwood Boys Varsity Golf finished in the middle of a 12-team field in the Michael Diem Memorial Ryder Cup-style tournament. Seniors Dayton Mucha and Nick Bell led the way with a 1-under par 71 in the 2-man scramble format. Seniors Andrew Lapes and Fredric Donohue followed with 80 in the 2-man best ball competition. In individual play, senior Owen Montlack-Friedman and sophomore Connor Negro shot 82 and 83, respectively. Freshman Mason Stern posted an 85. In alternate shot play, Shea Stern and Jonah Hyman shot 99 to finish out the Riverwood scoring. Highlights of the day included Nick Bell’s chip-in for eagle on the par 5 eighth hole and Connor Negro’s bounce back to shoot 37 on the back nine after a difficult 46 on the front nine. #RICSRaiders | #RICSGolf
