Our team in Waltham was playing around with digital trichromes! This process comes from black and white film photography, a process that results in a color image. Traditionally, a photographer will shoot three of the same black and white photo, once with a red filter, then with a green filter, followed by a blue filter. This concept played a part in the creation of color photography in 1855 when James Clerk Maxwell determined it was possible to film the three overlapped through color filters. Today, when the negatives are overlapped and assigned to their color channels digitally, the result is a color image. The same process is possible in digital photography, as shown here. Three images are made and then overlayed in their respective channels. For best results, either shoot the photos rapidly or choose a stationary subject. For more creative results, play with movement or time between exposures! 📸 chucksiwinski #photography #walthamma #boston #massachusetts #photographers #portrait...
