Gotham FC traveled to Florida to take on Tampa Bay Sun Women in a NWSL & USL crossover match. Gotham FC took the lead in the first half after Esther Gonzalez found Gabi Portilho with a header and Gabi volleyed the ball into the net. Tampa Bay Sun Women struck back almost immediately after Sydny Nasello made a cross field darting run through the midfield to open up a crossing opportunity for Natasha Flint to find Parker Goins for the equalizer. The game ended 1-1 and was decided in a penalty shootout. Carlee Giammona and Syndny Nasello both converted teor penalties for Tampa Bay Sun. Ryan Campbell was the hero of the shootout coming up with two brilliant save. McKenna Witham, Cece Kizer, Kyah Harper and Stella Nyamekye all converted their penalties for Gotham FC.
