Today, March 5, 2025, marks Equal Pay Day—the symbolic date representing how far into the year women must work to earn what men earned in the previous year. Women working full-time, year-round earn, on average, just 83 cents for every $1 earned by white, non-Hispanic men. But the wage gap isn’t the same for all women—it’s even wider for women of color.

- Latinas – October 3 (51 cents)
For Latinas, the wage gap is particularly alarming, with earnings at just 51 cents to the dollar, meaning they must work nearly 22 months to match what a white, non-Hispanic man made in just 12. This disparity reflects differences in pay and barriers to access to higher-paying jobs, career advancement, and financial security.
