We’re celebrating with our partners, the Negro Leagues Baseball Museum, a FREE family walk honoring the winning spirit of the great Kansas City Monarchs and held on the anniversary of Jackie Robinson’s first game with the team (May 6, 1945) and of course, you’re invited! The event re-creates the tradition of Monarchs Opening Day when a marching band would lead fans from 18th & Vine to the ballpark at 22nd & Brooklyn. Help us kick off the season with a FREE event packed with exciting activities, live entertainment, food trucks, new and familiar faces! What to expect: 🔹 Meet our new players and catch up with some familiar faces. 🔹 Play games on stage ️ 🔹 Win prizes! 🔹 Take part in some AWESOME giveaways. 🔹 Monty will be in attendance to kick off the season and take pictures with you! 👉 Saturday, May 3rd 12:00 PM – 3:00 PM at Historic 18th & Vine! 👈
