Unified Champion Schools across the state participated in the annual Spread the Word Day of Activation, a campaign that fosters respect, inclusion and acceptance for people with intellectual disabilities (ID). This year’s event comes at a critical moment, as the use of the R-word, a historically derogatory term, has seen a troubling resurgence in public and online spaces. Thank you to the incredible students at these schools for making the pledge to create inclusive environments for their fellow students!
