On 30 November, the 4 activists boarded a tanker that was about to load toxic plastic chemicals from South Korea’s Hyundai Daesan Refinery complex to deliver a strong message to cut plastic pollution to the world leaders gathered at the nearby city of Busan for the fifth session of the Intergovernmental Negotiating Committee (#INC5) to negotiate a UN Global Plastics Treaty. This was a part of the ‘Sailing for Change: Plastic Free Future’ Rainbow Warrior ship tour in East Asia.⁣ ⁣ Fast forward over 3 months later, the 4 activists and the Rainbow Warrior captain Hettie are still unable to leave the country, and they continue to reside in Korea as they undergo their investigation for that peaceful direct action.⁣ ⁣ Al - one of the activists - decided to pen her own story in her own voice, from her own perspective.⁣ ⁣ For Al’s story of their journey, check our link in bio. ⁣ ⁣ #INC5Warriors #Greenpeace
