This one hits differently. Seven years ago, our very first #communitygarden was launched in Komsnedego, Burkina Faso. Since then, it’s weathered many challenges and setbacks. But today, it’s thriving in ways we always dreamed were possible. With over 100 registered farmers — the majority of whom are women — each renting a plot, the garden has become a hub of growth and empowerment. From chives and chilies, to lettuce and other vegetables, the land is abundant with fresh produce. Farmers are now able to sell their harvests at local markets or keep them for personal use, creating a sustainable source of income and nutrition. This journey has been a true testament to resilience, growth, and the power of community.
