The JV-A soccer team lost 1-0 to the Georgetown Eagles on Jan. 14. For freshman Hannah Kahn, this game was a great learning experience for the team.
Before the game, Kahn was feeling both excited and nervous to play Georgetown. Georgetown is Coach Rich’s old team, which motivated the team to play well.
“They’re a good team too, so that made us a little nervous, but I was excited,” Khan said. “It was a long bus ride that we got to spend together so everyone was in a good mood and joking when we got to the field.”
During the game Kahn felt frustrated because they weren’t able to move the ball up the field.
“We were having trouble with moving the ball,” Khan said. “But overall we definitely kept our energy high and played and fought well.”
Although this game may not have been the best the team ever played, Kahn said that this game is one to be proud of regardless.
