American journalist, author and Amazon founder #JeffBezos‘ fiancée, #LaurenSánchez, shared a video Friday of her first Zoom call with her all-female Blue Origin crew. Sánchez is set to fly to space this spring as part of the Bezos-owned Blue Origin’s New Shepard space tourism program. She will be joined on her journey by pop star #KatyPerry, aerospace engineer and entrepreneur #AishaBowe, bioastronautics research scientist and activist #AmandaNguyen, film producer #KerianneFlynn and journalist #GayleKing. Together, they form the first all-female crew to travel to space since Russian cosmonaut #ValentinaTereshkova’s solo journey in 1963.
