A new #HungerGames novel by author #SuzanneCollins will be published on March 18, 2025, publisher Scholastic announced today. ‘Sunrise on the Reaping’ will be the fifth in the dystopian book series. The new book will be set 24 years before the original ‘Hunger Games’ novel and 40 years after the most recent installment ‘The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes.’ Lionsgate has greenlit ‘The Hunger Games: Sunrise On The Reaping,’ to hit screens on Nov. 20, 2026 and the franchise filmmaker of the last four movies, Francis Lawrence, is in talks to return to direct.
