Sandra Hüller and Justine Triet first met over a decade ago, when Hüller presented the director with a prize for her short film ‘Vilaine fille, mauvais garçon’ (2012). Several years later they met again, this time in Cannes, where Triet’s film ‘Victoria’ was premiering alongside Hüller’s prize-winning Toni Erdmann. Triet knew instinctively that she one day wished to work with Hüller, and the feeling was mutual. So, she wrote her a part in ‘Sybil,’ released in 2019.
