Had my first indoor meet and it just happened to be a national meet. Although I didn’t high jump as well as I would have liked I am grateful to be able to call myself an All-American in that event. The 200m was definitely tough. It felt so weird running on that banked track and that will take a lot of getting used to. I was very happy with my long jump performance. So happy to get a new PR and earn another All-American honor. Twenty feet is coming soon! It was neat being in New York City, riding the subway, eating New York pizza, and seeing Times Square. We wanted to see the Statue of Liberty, but unfortunately ran out of time. It was an honor to compete against some of the best athletes in the country — many of the girls I’ve read about or heard my coaches talk about.
