I’m so happy to have gotten a new PR today! Finally breaking through this barrier I’d built at 5’6 feels so incredibly freeing. I’d set my previous PR sometime last year and tied it several times, but after struggling to jump any higher for so long, it’d felt like I’d reached my limit. I remember earlier this year after struggling to make 5’6 for several weeks in a row, I thought that maybe high jump wasn’t really for me. Today opened my eyes and I really couldn’t be happier. I don’t know if I would have done as well as I did today if it weren’t for everyone competing being so supportive. I’m so thankful for everyone that was cheering me on. I’m so thankful for my coaches, teammates, and family. Earlier this season, I never really thought I would get this far, but I’m grateful to have such an incredible support system.
