January is almost over and most people trying to lock in on their New Year’s resolutions have already quit. For whatever reason you decided to take a break, there’s a few things you can do to get back into the swing of things. If you’re an athlete looking to get better, this may be useful for you too: 🗓️Create a ROUTINE: You cannot achieve your goals without having consistency. Someone with a perfect program who is inconsistent will never be as successful as someone with an imperfect program who is consistent. Maybe for you that’s 2x a week. Starting small and building up will help establish that consistency. This doesn’t just apply to training. 🔥Start SMALL: Try a shorter workout. Studies have shown that high intensity efforts such as short 4 second sprints is enough to see fitness benefits in untrained individuals. Example: Easy Jog or cycle for 60s, then all out sprint for 4 seconds. Repeat for 5-10 minutes. ✍️WRITE it down: Documenting your journey & goals makes it easier ...
