MAKING HISTORY: The JV-B soccer team battled host Georgetown to a scoreless tie in its first ever game on Jan. 14. For sophomore Frances Brosnan, the result and the team’s play to earn it were a source of pride.
Before the game Brosnan was nervous since it was their first game together as a team.
“We hadn’t had much practice together so we were nervous,” Brosnan said, “but I was really excited to start the season.”
During the game Brosnan wasn’t as intimidated as she had anticipated.
“Once I was out there playing I realized it was more fun than scary,” Brosnan said. “I felt much more confident towards the end of it.”
Brosnan said the team’s positive attitude and hard work paid off.
“I was really proud of our teamwork after the game,” Brosnan said. “We tied but Georgetown is a really good school so that in itself felt like a win.”
