We don’t fight fires like our mates at firerescuevictoria and cfavic, but we still play an important role on the ground across bushfire season. ⁣ ⁣ We recently assisted with the fires in Little Desert National Park in north-west Victoria, with some of our officers redeployed from areas like Geelong to help bolster numbers. ⁣ ⁣ Officers were working behind the scenes day and night assisting with things like traffic management, supporting and liaising with partner agencies, and on hand should they need to coordinate evacuations. ⁣ ⁣ Pictured here are representatives from partner agencies playing a game of trivia during nightshift after they’d been told to stand down with the fire declared under control.
