This Women’s History Month, we’re spotlighting the incredible women behind our upcoming summer production of ‘Beautiful: The Carole King Musical’—next up is our amazing choreographer, Aimee Mitacchione!
Aimee is no stranger to Plays-in-the-Park—her journey began on our stage as a performer in the late ’90s, and in 2022, she made her PIP choreographic debut with ‘A Chorus Line. This summer, she’s back to bring Carole King’s story to life through movement and dance!
Beyond PIP, Aimee has spent over 24 years shaping the next generation of dancers as Assistant Professor of Dance at Middlesex College, where she founded and directs the Middlesex College Dance Ensemble. She’s also a dedicated educator at Kean University and Rutgers University, sharing her expertise with aspiring performers across New Jersey.
Her work spans professional and educational stages, from choreographing ‘Ragtime’, ‘Pippin’, and ‘The Who’s Tommy’, to receiving national recognition for her impactful dance pieces. Ai...
