This week, LaFollette Middle School of Campbell County Public Schools hosted an “Inclusion Matters” basketball game as a part of Spread The Word Day.
Throughout the week, the school principal spoke about inclusion over the intercom. Then, every student wrote a paragraph about what inclusion means to them.
To finish the week, students with and without intellectual and developmental disabilities played in a Unified basketball game, with the whole school cheering them on.
Thank you to April Lowe for organizing such a great event. SOTN board member and Area Director Brandon Johnson of Campbell, Morgan, and Scott Counties was in attendance to support the event.
