This afternoon, TanenbaumCHAT gathered in the Meyer/Finkelsteing gymnasium for a special assembly, coming together as a school community in light of the ongoing events in Israel. Todah rabah to our Israel Council for leading the assembly, sharing their personal connections to the Jewish homeland, and speaking about their recent advocacy efforts. We are also grateful to Dr. Jonathan Levy, Head of School, for reflecting on his time in Israel last week, including an emotional visit to the Bibas family shiva. Echoing the sentiments of the assembly, we continue to stand with Israel and hold hope for peace in the days and months ahead. The gathering concluded with a video of Israel’s Eurovision 2024 submission, featuring Nova survivor Yuval Raphael.
