Could Alec Bohm be the answer to the Yankees’ 3B uncertainty? Mark Sanchez of the New York Post suggests that the 28-year-old Phillies All-Star third baseman could be a trade option after a tough second half and a poor NLDS showing.
Earlier in the offseason, Jeff Passan reported that Philadelphia has placed Bohm on the trade block as they look to make adjustments ahead of the 2025 season. In the second half, Bohm’s OPS dwindled to .681, and he hit just four homers in 49 games. His struggles continued in the playoffs, where he recorded just one hit in 13 at-bats, leading the Phillies to bench him in Game 2 of the NLDS against the Mets. In 2024, he hit .280 batting average with 155 hits, 15 homers, 97 RBIs. Despite his late-season slump, his youth and All-Star potential could make him an intriguing candidate to fill the Yankees’ hot corner void.
