Three-Ninety, a five-year-old chestnut mare, has run her last race, finishing a gallant sixth at Gore. 'Onesie', a stable favourite at Taipa Tiger Racing, sustained a ruptured tendon in the back of her foreleg after the finish line. Equine vet Dr Annemarie Wezenbeek stabilised the mare on the track and she was carefully and safely transported back to the stables in a horse ambulance for further treatment. For an equine athlete, this type of injury is often career-ending. With rest and rehabilitation, Onesie has a bright future as a broodmare.🤗 #HereForTheHorse #CareForTheHorse #NZHorseAmbulance #LoveTheHorse
