“Nature’s Toilet: Peeing in the Grand Canyon” Ever wondered how much pee the Grand Canyon could hold? Let’s do some questionable math. The Grand Canyon has a volume of about 1,000 cubic miles (or 4,168,181,825,440,000 gallons). The average human bladder holds about 16 ounces (0.125 gallons) of urine. So, if every person on Earth (8 billion people) emptied their bladder at the same time, we’d only fill 1 billion gallons—barely a fraction of the canyon’s capacity. So while the Grand Canyon could technically handle all of humanity’s pee, you definitely shouldn’t contribute to the experiment. Instead, use the park’s designated restrooms—because nobody wants to be that person. #LeaveNoTrace #GrandCanyon #PeeMath #bestworstcantina #HydrationStation
