#WomensHistoryMonth: Dr. Mauda Monger is a researcher, educator and advocate dedicated to addressing health disparities among minority communities. A native of Jackson, Mississippi, she is a three-time HBCU graduate whose research examines how social determinants of health impact sexual, gender and racial minorities, particularly Black women and girls, with a focus on healthcare access and equity. Monger is the founder and CEO of the MLM Center for Health, Education and Equity, which provides consultation and health education to institutions of higher learning and healthcare organizations seeking to deliver culturally responsive care and research. She is also an assistant professor at the University of Mississippi Medical Center, where she integrates her expertise in public health into training the next generation of healthcare professionals.
