Had the privilege of sitting on a "Working in Film and Video Today" panel hosted by wiftjax for flaglercollege Communication Week—an annual campus tradition dedicated to providing students with opportunities and insights from leaders and innovators in the communication field. Monique Madrid is a powerhouse in Jacksonville’s indie film scene—co-creating the loljaxfestival and producing the jax48hfp . Kay Hill has built a career spanning National Geographic, Discovery, and BBC, while also mentoring the next generation of filmmakers through the floridafilmacademy. Sitting between two women I have so much admiration for was both humbling and a little surreal.
